2 June 2009 Netersel Holland

I got up late today. It sure was great to sleep in. I collected my washed clothing, put it on and grabbed my computer. I checked to see if I could pick up the wireless internet from Toos’ house. The signal was too weak to use the internet so I just started typing in my travel journal. Toos grabbed me by the ear and told me it was time to eat breakfast. So we ate breakfast and then I set about typing again. The next thing I knew, Toos said it’s time to eat dinner. So we ate. I continued typing and pretty soon Toos tells me it’s time go outside for an afternoon snack and get some sunshine. We walked about the lawn and gardens and the neighborhood and then I’m back typing again. Then it’s time to eat supper. Back to typing again. At 6:00 p.m. I walk over to Toos’ eldest son’s house to use the internet. I e-mailed the members of my family and friends with what I’m up to and then it’s time to work on Matilda, my GPS unit again. I worked on her with Toos’ son and sent emails till 10:00 p.m. Then it’s back to typing my travel journal. My biggest regret was everything that was to make my trip easier was dragging me down. Matilda, my GPS let me down. The vast majority of the time I spent in Netersel was spent typing my travel log/journal and loading and reloading maps into Matilda. I have to give the entire credit to Toos’ eldest son for diagnosing and straightening out Matilda. He also helped me with the correct map loading procedure so when I have to change the maps from European maps to the Russian Federation maps in the future I can do it correctly. Also Doctor Toos gave me the correct stones to carry to keep me healthy and strong during my journey. I never turn down good luck. I also asked Toos’ eldest son to tell Toos’ family….. brothers, sisters, and children, of my around the world trip after I leave Netersel because I don’t care to be the center of attention. A little is OK but not too much. I also have to thank Toos for feeding me, washing my clothes and driving me around. All I can say is I want to stay longer but I must get moving or I’m going to get myself in trouble time-wise. I absolutely have to leave Russia before the end of August.
